General Info

Lipo for upper arm excessive fat is an excellent procedure for those that carry their weigh in this region. An arm lift is added when sagging skin is present, whether it be due to heredity, aging, or from a period where you’ve gained and lost a lot of weight.

Best Candidate

Being a non smoker, having a stable weight, having a reasonable exercise tolerance, and being in the best shape possible will optimize your result. IT IS MANDATORY THAT PATIENTS BE NON-SMOKERS IN ORDER TO DO AN ARM LIFT.

The Procedure

For Liposuction patients, only 2 incisions are required, one at the elbow and one in the axilla. For arm lift patients, both an axillary incision and an above the elbow inner arm incision are necessary to remove the saggy skin in the upper arm. Both procedures are performed under deep sedation.

Recovery Time

A compression garment is necessary for liposuction patients to reduce swelling and prevent serum formation. No dressings or garments are required for arm lift patients. Excessive arm use and stretching should be avoided for 2 weeks after surgery.
