Skin reacts to lasers in different ways.
In some cases, a series of laser sessions are required to achieve the optimum result with the laser. However, other conditions can be treated with just one session.
Most people feel like they have a mild sunburn for one or two days after treatment. You may have some redness and swelling and will be advised to use sunblock or to avoid sun exposure.
Most patients resume normal activities immediately, however Dr. LaTrenta recommends scheduling laser treatments a few days to a week prior to any important event.
The full impact of the laser may not be apparent for a month or two, especially with vascular deformities.
